Hello

My name is Julia Burk. I have always loved cooking and being in the kitchen. A few years ago I was diagnosed with sever IBS and it changed my life drastically. I didn't want to give up the food I loved so I got back in the kitchen and started experimenting. I am starting out and I would love your support of my bakery. I want to give the food that you miss back to you.

My Story

I have always loved cooking and being in the kitchen. A few years ago I was diagnosed with sever IBS and it changed my life drastically. All the foods that I had grown up with and loved were now making me sick. It was difficult to come to terms with.  I didn't want to give up on the food I loved so when my body started to recover I got back in the kitchen. 

The first dessert I worked on was red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. Which is my all time favorite dessert. It took many tries and alterations but I was so proud when I got it right.  I have quite a few restrictions the big ones being dairy, gluten, garlic and onion.  You will not find them in any of my recipes. I do use scallions and garlic chives though. Also, I am cooking from home and my husband does eat gluten.  Unfortunately my current kitchen is not completely gluten free so please keep that in mind. 

I am working hard to develop new and better recipes as well as find a kitchen that I can make more allergen safe. The goal of this bakery is to try to make your favorite baked goods accessible to you. Food safety is of the upmost importance and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
